Admission Target:

Students in grade 9 and above who plan to enter the IB and want to adapt to the IB academic rhythm and improve their language and critical thinking skills in the summer

Course content:

✅ In line with IB English to strengthen text analysis and thematic expression

✅ This course is based on the curriculum structure of IB English and is suitable for students who plan to enter the IB Diploma program; it is suitable for high school students who want to adapt to the IB academic rhythm in advance and improve their language and thinking skills.

✅ The class will revolve around a big idea, guiding students to connect it with a global issue and cultivate critical thinking and thematic expression skills.

✅ Reading materials will be selected from the curriculum texts used by IB schools in the Greater Vancouver area, covering both literary and non-literary works, to help students develop cross-text analysis and critical thinking skills through comparison and discussion.

✅ The course will gradually guide students to conduct thematic writing and oral expression exercises, help them accumulate analytical thinking and structured expression experience, and initially get in touch with Paper 2 and Individual Oral (IO) requirements in IB.

An English teacher and writer from Vancouver, she has extensive teaching experience and is familiar with BC secondary schools and the IB curriculum system, especially good at IB English tutoring.
